Pharaoh king of Egypt decreed: every male child born to the Israelites was to be thrown into the river.

They carried out the drownings for seven months, until you were born. Your mother hid you for three months.

You were at court for three weeks of years until you saw an Egyptian beating an Israelite. You struck the Egyptian dead and buried him.

The next day you found two Israelites fighting. One said: Who made you ruler over us? Do you plan to kill me as you killed the Egyptian? You fled.
