Summary
Isaiah 43 contains some of the OT's most-personal divine-pronouncements: 'I have called you by name, you are mine' (v. 1), 'when you pass through the waters, I will be with you' (v. 2), 'I am the LORD your God … your Savior' (v. 3), 'before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me' (v. 10), and the NEW-THING-IN-THE-WILDERNESS prophecy (vv. 19–20).
