Summary
Psalm 144 (MT) / Psalm 143 (LXX) is a Davidic royal-martial-thanksgiving combining (a) blessing-to-the-divine-warrior-trainer (vv. 1–2), (b) wonder-at-God-regarding-humans (vv. 3–4), (c) petition-for-deliverance (vv. 5–11), and (d) blessing-of-prospering-nation (vv. 12–15). The LXX adds a unique-extra-verse (Ps 143:1 LXX attributes the victory over Goliath: 'regarding Goliath') — a plus absent from MT.
