Proverbs 29 closes the SECOND SOLOMONIC COLLECTION (Prov 25–29) with proverbs heavily focused on ruler-and-ruled dynamics, parental-discipline, and the righteous-wicked contrast. Verse 18 — 'where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint' — is a classic text on revelation-as-social-anchor.
