Do not trust in lying words, saying: 'The temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD are these.'

MT has the famous triple repetition 'The temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD are these.' LXX reads only the double: 'It is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.' The triple form in MT is more emphatic and may be a later expansion for rhetorical force. The shorter LXX reading may preserve the earlier form.
